Dubai School of Dental Medicine (DSDM) is a newly established home-grown dental institution launched to support the UAE community with the finest quality of dental care services and education.

Dubai School of Dental Medicine (DSDM) is an institution of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Academic Medical Center at Dubai Healthcare City.

• Dubai School of Dental Medicine (DSDM) will set the standard of excellence and be recognised as a leader in dental education, research and clinical practice.

• Dubai School of Dental Medicine (DSDM) aims to provide internationally recognised student centered dental education programs that combine advanced didactic, clinical and research training designed to prepare the candidate for a career at the specialist level.

• Master of Science in Prosthodontics
  • Prosthodontics is the dental specialty pertaining to the diagnosis, treatment planning, rehabilitation and maintenance of the oral function, comfort, appearance and health of patients with clinical conditions associated with missing or deficient teeth and/or oral and maxillofacial tissues using biocompatible substitutes.

• Master of Science in Periodontics
  • Periodontics is the practice and teaching of, and research into the comprehensive care for the periodontal tissues in health and disease. In addition to the prevention, treatment, and management of periodontal diseases modern periodontics also includes cosmetic management of the periodontium in complex restorative care and the planning, surgical placement and long-term maintenance of dental implants.

• Master of Science in Endodontics
  • Endodontics is the practice and teaching of, and research into the comprehensive therapeutics for the pulpal periapical tissues in health and disease. This includes the prevention, treatment, and management of endodontic disease and its extension into the periradicular tissues. The Master of Science in Endodontics is intended to prepare a specialist who is proficient in the management of endodontic and periapical lesions and who can practice independently as a specialist in endodontology.

• Master of Science in Oral Surgery
  • Oral Surgery is the practice and teaching of and research into the surgical management of orofacial abnormalities. This includes dentoavleolar surgery which is a core competency. Oral surgery also includes having knowledge of the management of salivary gland surgery, osteotomies and maxillofacial trauma without practical competence in these areas.The Master of Science in Oral Surgery is intended to prepare a specialist who is proficient in providing surgical treatment for patients with orofacial abnormalities and oralfacial pain.

• Master of Science in Orthodontics
  • Orthodontics is the specialty of dentistry concerned with facial growth, with development of the dentition and occlusion, and with the diagnosis, interception, and treatment of occlusal anomalies. The Master of Science in Orthodontics is intended to prepare a specialist who is proficient in providing preventive, interceptive, and corrective treatment of malocclusion and dentofacial deformities in children, adolescents, and adults utilizing contemporary techniques by means of fixed and removable orthodontic appliances.

• Master of Science in Paediatric Dentistry
  • Paediatric Dentistry is the practice, teaching and research into the provision of dental care to infants, children and adolescents including those with special health care needs.The Master of Science in Paediatric Dentistry is intended to prepare a specialist who is proficient in providing both primary and comprehensive preventive and therapeutic oral health care for infants and children through adolescence.
