- Education: Jazan University’s program for the undergraduate medical students aims at producing a competent practitioner with special commitment to the community and health related problems in Saudi Arabia.
- Research: Jazan University staff and students in the medical school are expected to engage in scientific research on endemic health problems to provide better management, prevention and control of these diseases with the Ministry of Health.
- Health Services: Jazan University faculty members are expected to extend their services to the Ministry of Health, primary health centres and small district hospitals where Jazan University students will have some of their training.
