Who:   Students from the Kurdistan region in northern Iraq.

What:   Scholarship includes full tuition and a maintenance grant of up to £12,600 a year

When:   Starts October

Where:   Institute of Arab and Islamic Studies at Exeter University, England

Program length:   one year

Deadline to apply:   April 30th

Projects may be in any discipline of the humanities and social sciences as applied to the study of the Kurds and Kurdistan, including political science, history, geography, sociology, folklore studies, religious studies, anthropology and gender studies.

As part of the Ph.D Scholarship in Kurdish Studies, award winners will undertake 80 hours of work for the center per year.
